Where and how?

Kasulu Foundation has its official headquarters in the Netherlands and in Kasulu, Tanzania. Activities concerning fundraising and collecting donations are coordinated in the Netherlands.

Most of the activities of the foundation however take place on the field in Tanzania. The foundation works here with the local church where Rev. Fr. John assisted by some nuns process application forms, visit families, talk to street children and advise parents on the role of education in the struggle against poverty. In the future the foundation is planning to hold different campaigns on nutrition, education promotion (encouraging families to send their own children to school) and AIDS awareness campaign. These activities aim at raising awareness to the local community on issues such as development, poverty and diseases. The campaigns are best organized during the dry season where most young people are available due to some free time from agricultural activities and where there gatherings and festivities.

Parents who have children roaming around in streets, go to farm, or else just sit at home due to lack of assistance are encouraged to apply for the study funds. Children are sponsored regardless of their or their parents’ political colour, ethnic background or religious beliefs.
